Old Navy Pinky-Swears That Their New Tweed Jacket Isn't a Chanel Knockoff

Old Navy is putting a $40 "tweed cardigan jacket" on offer today, but despite the garment's resemblance to the iconic Chanel jacket, they insist any resemblance is just a coincidence. "I don't think there was any intention for it to look like anything. We have seen a lot of great-looking women wearing tweed cardigan jackets," an Old Navy exec told WWD, even though the mere idea of a "cardigan jacket" is so contradictory that we don't even know what it would look like if we saw a person wearing it.

The jacket will be a limited-edition item and only sell for six weeks. There's no word on whether Old Navy plans to introduce their own version of the hula hoop bag later, but they are having an online-only sale today if you want to take advantage of it.
