This Is What Demeter's New Zombie Perfume Smells Like

New, 1 comment

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The gimmick-loving folks at Demeter have finally done what fragrance-makers everywhere have been attempting to do for centuries: they have found a way to combine the olfactory and the supernatural in one sweet, sweet bottle. Branching out from past fragrance hits such as "rain," "ocean," and "flowering tonka," the brand has just released a set of zombie-inspired fragrances for him and her. Luckily, we asked Curbed Media editors at Racked, Eater, and Curbed to test it so you don't have to. Reactions ranged from, "This isn't nearly as bad as I was expecting," to speechless gagging. Find a full catalog of our responses in the gallery above.
