Former J.Crew Designer Marissa Webb Launches Debut Line

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Marissa Webb, J.Crew's former women's designer extraordinaire, struck out on her own for the spring 2013, and now the line is available on her fresh e-commerce site. The retailer's DNA is in the masculine tailoring and luxe texture mixing, which makes sense because Webb spent 11 years churning out American classics for the brand, but the looks can be slightly more feminine. Find her frocks, skirts, bottoms, and tops for between $325 and $1,595 on the new site, and also check out her footwear, which is exclusively sold there.
