Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, a.k.a. Dany, a.k.a. Khaleesi in Game of Thrones explains how her character has risen to cult status among drag queens, Comic-Con attendees, and mere lay-fans alike:

I think it's that damn wig. There's a Dany in every one of us and to have the opportunity to dress up so archetypically female, with that long, wavy blonde hair, and have that sense of empowerment, of being genuinely badass at the same time—it's amazing.
We guess that explains why she told us that she misses it off-season despite the two hours of styling it requires.
