The Python Wristlet That We Dare to Dream About

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Today's pick comes from Racked SF editor Kristen Philipkoski.

Snakeskin Zippered Clutch
, $990 at Barneys

I tote around an 8-month-old these days, so my hands have to be free. I've found that a wristlet works amazingly well for carrying my keys, phone, cards, money, and maybe a lipstick while I've got the little missy in tow. Crossbody bags get in the way when I'm carrying her, but a wristlet is completely out of range from wiggly arms and legs. The basic brown leather one I have has worked out so well that I'd love to branch out and get something a little larger and more colorful. This specimen could only be more perfect if it went on sale.
