John Galliano—make that Professor John Galliano—has a new gig. The disgraced designer will be teaching a masterclass series for senior BFA candidates at New York's Parsons School of Design called "Show Me Emotion!" according to the Parsons website. The school announced the class via an email to current students that has since been widely circulated. Lucky posted on the development yesterday.

They report that the the four-day course will consist of three days in the design studio with Galliano, followed by a critique and conversational Q&A session with the designer and Simon Collins, Dean of the School of Fashion, on the final day. As described by the school, the class "seeks to engage its participants by provoking the power of emotion in context of fashion practice and exploration of intuitive, perceptive manners of investigational making."

As you may recall, Galliano went on a crazy anti-Semitic rant back in 2011 and was ostracized from the fashion community, making for one of the most dramatic fashion shit shows of the year. Since then, with the help of influential friends, Galliano has been working on a comeback, entering into a stint in rehab and ultimately re-emerging at New York's most recent Fashion Week as a guest in Oscar de la Renta's atelier.

Though Galliano remains controversial, there doesn't seem to be as much immediate backlash as one might think. Twitter reactions seem surprisingly supportive of the designer:

@AdelaMissPink writes:

"Now I want to go to Parsons and meet the genius #Galliano"

@LeonidBatekhin tweeted

"#omg I need to pretend I'm a senior... #galliano #masterclass #fashion #guru"

@idolmagazine agrees:

"John #Galliano turns teacher at Parsons. Take us back to school!"

What do you think? Does Professor Galliano have a nice ring to it? Or should this man probably not be shaping young minds? Let us hear it in the comments.
