This week, we here at Racked are celebrating all things shoe related. From the world's wackiest heels to the sneakers of our dreams, we'll be exploring the highs and lows of footwear. Welcome to Shoe Week 2013.
In honor of Show Week, we're taking a look at how department stores curated and styled their particular flavor of spring footwear in lookbooks. Barney's went for a much softer spring look compared to Nordstrom's icy luxury, updating a soft Nina Ricci dress with metallic Prada heels, and dressing up a fresh designers like Thakoon and Proenza Schouler with old-hat Manolo Blahnik. As cringe-inducing as it is to use these fashion clichés, there's no denying that the retailer wields footwear that balances "ladies that lunch" looks into "it-girl" about town and vice versa. She's like a lunching lady's style ace daughter. Scope the looks above and shop the lookbook here.
