As promised, the second DVF Explorers collection for GapKids is a sea of safari-inspired prints. As predicted, it is complete cuteness overload with miniature wrap dresses, teensy bikinis, and the return of the cutest kid DJ ever. And as chic as ever, Diane von Furstenberg herself was on hand last night at the collection's launch party in New York (in her signature printed sling, no less!). "I am always about voyage, so we went to the archives and picked a few things and we just went for it," she told us about the collection's prints. "It was always in my contract to do it twice and it was so much fun the first time so that was easy."
And in the spirit of childhood memories, we took the opportunity to ask guests what they dreamed about becoming when they themselves were tiny enough to fit into DVF's kids clothes. Click through the gallery above to see what they said.—Shannon Perry
