The Met Gala is coming up on May 6, and WWD informs us that there will indeed be a red carpet livestream on Vogue.com for the second year running. Anyone who tuned into Vogue's livestream last year will recall that one very vocal paparazzi accidentally stole the show, as the camera mic picked up everything he said throughout the evening and not in a good way. But as his head is no doubt rotting on a stake somewhere, we're sure this season's livestream will be much less awkward.
This year, model Hilary Rhoda will join Vogue's William Norwich in hosting duties, and WWD says coverage will feature interviews with cochairs Rooney Mara, Lauren Santo Domingo, Riccardo Tisci, and Anna Wintour as well as "some of the arriving celebrities." You may notice that Beyonce, who was tacked on as co-co-chair at the last minute, is very glaringly missing from that list, making the mystery of her involvement in this whole thing just that much more mysterious.
Ponder that, and in the meantime, Vogue invites you to submit your burning red-carpet questions on Facebook and Twitter with the hashtag #metquestions. Coverage will also run on the Met Museum's website, Samsung's site, and Modaoperandi.com.
