Comedy writer Bonnie Datt once bought a chainmail vest "for clubbing"—a purchase she later came to lament, once she realized that chainmail wasn't particularly slimming. Inspired by this, she now spends her spare time asking famous people to dish about purchases which they initially loved—but ended up regretting, for Buyer's Remorse.
With Project Runway completing its 11th season last night, we decided to check in with Season Seven designer Jesus Estrada to learn his Buyer's Remorse story. Jesus, who was one of the youngest designers in Project Runway history, now runs Haus of Estrada with his twin brother Antonio. The two also helped found the retail boutique, Marteal & Estrada in White Plains, New York. We hope their store is doing well, because Jesus' Buyer's Remorse sounds quite costly...
"It's definitely jeans. It's crazy because every time I go out shopping for jeans, I'm always drawn towards the blue denim—and I have like one hundred pairs of pants. So it's like, 'What was I thinking buying a new pair of denim when I already have a hundred?' They all look the same!"
