Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaids, Identity Theft) devoted a full four and a half minutes of her Saturday Night Live opening monologue to walking poorly in Brian Atwood's bedazzled pink Alesha heels. Been there—thankfully not on national television, but also we weren't joking. She eventually stopped shuffling to explain, "They told me, 'Make sure you practice in your shoes.' I said, 'What? I live in heels.' That was not honest. I'm primarily in a Croc."
The designer, who goes way back with McCarthy and was sitting in the audience, told WWD that "Walking in heels is an art and we all poke fun at that. Melissa took it to another level, and that's what makes her a genius. You can't ask for better press."
