Hold tight for a controversy involving a lot of Frenchmen: Saint Laurent, one of two films about the late designer Yves Saint Laurent scheduled to bow this summer will postpone filming until September.
Recall that this is the film backed by Francois Pinault, who owns the Saint Laurent brand. Also recall that there is a rival film called Yves Saint Laurent, which has the late Yves Saint Laurent's partner and the guardian of the designer's foundation Pierre Bergé's support. Bergé hinted at suing Bonello and Pinault in a tweet yesterday, but the extension of Saint Laurent filming timeline isn't for fear of a lawsuit, apparently. According to the Telegraph, the film's producers don't want compromising their "artistic ambitions." We're beginning to think everything involving this brand attracts controversy.
