Peter Som and Anthropologie Are a Match Made in Pretty Heaven

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Peter Som, who's known for feminine-on-the-side-of-girly dresses, and Anthropologie, which is known for feminine-with-a-touch-of-bohemian wares, have teamed up for the retailer's designer collab series, Made in Kind. Som's words on his eleven-piece offering indicates that he took more than a little inspiration from Anthro's aesthetic: "The collection has that off-kilter, patchwork, kind of magpie sensibility. It's about a quirky elegance."

Quirk, eh? Of the zebra print dress above, he told Style.com, "I'm of the Diana Vreeland school of thought. Zebra is a neutral." The collection launches online and in stores on May 17, presumably along with a few lesser-known designers, and will retail between $128 to $360.
