Terry Richardson Shot the New Valentino Campaign

Valentino hired Terry Richardson to photograph its latest accessories campaign. It's the first time the New York photographer has worked with the brand and its creative directors, Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri. In recent seasons, Valentino has opted for dreamy, well-studied campaign imagery from photographers including Sarah Moon and Deborah Turbeville. Richardson's self-referentiality–his own hands and tattooed forearms appear in the ads—and signature flash-heavy style is definitely a departure for the brand. — Jenna Sauers
