Jourdan Dunn finally had her best friend, fellow model, and birthday twin Karlie Kloss on to co-host her YouTube cooking show, Well Dunn With Jourdan Dunn. The tall twosome are sometimes known as Jourlie. First, Dunn teaches Kloss how to make a vegetable curry with cauliflower, squash, carrots, and tomatoes. Then Kloss shows Dunn how to make her gluten-free, sugar-free, oatmeal-almond-chocolate-chip cookies. Which actually look pretty good.
In between, though, the pair rib each other good-naturedly about their accents, their favorite foods, and how cooking is like sex.
Dunn tells a story about how Kloss once came home from a night out and binged on...a plate of spinach. Kloss then hits back with a tale of Dunn eating a midnight snack of fried chicken in a model apartment they shared in Paris. "It was KFC," replies Dunn, indignantly. "Don't get it twisted." Then they start chopping tomatoes.
"I always say it's like making love," says Dunn, of cooking.
"You gotta get your hands dirty!" agrees Kloss. "You gotta get in there."
The episode is actually rather sweet. Kloss talks about how some of her earliest memories are of reading recipes for her grandmother, who was apparently a great cook. And, while showing Dunn how to bake, Kloss mentions that her Karlies Kookies project with Momofuku Milk Bar has so far provided funding for 119,000 donated meals via FEED.
When the curry is done cooking, Dunn explains they need to enjoy it in the proper English way: with a big glass of wine.
