J.W. Anderson and Versus Launched With a Party and Grimes

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Last night, Versace threw a fancy party for its two new Versus collections: the collaboration with J.W. Anderson, and the new line of tweaked classic designs from the house's archives. The latter you can already shop online (prices range from $195 for printed leggings to $1475 for a leather jacket) and the former you'll have to wait for until June 15. For now, check out the slideshow from last night's runway show for lots of bright color, oversized gold safety pins, and gender-blending men's wear. Entertainment was provided by Dead Sara, Angel Haze and Grimes. Finally, someone threw a fashion party where that one Grimes song they always play...was actually played by Grimes. — Jenna Sauers
