The e-commerce world's battle to offer shoppers immediate gratification through same-day delivery rages on (you might not see all the rage, but trust us, it's there). Right now, only 7 percent of customers have adopted same-day delivery at big-box retailers like Wal-Mart and Amazon, most likely due to costs. One Wells-Fargo analyst suggests a third-party courier, like a Seamless web, that aggregates shipping from stores at 5% of the purchase price, is the only viable way to go. [WWD]
