Welcome to Beauty Wire, where we round up the day's biggest beauty news.
So what does Gwyneth Paltrow have to say about being named the face of Hugo Boss' new Boss Jour Pour Femme fragrance? According to her, modeling is "the perfect job when you have kids" because of the shorter time commitments. The macrobiotic queen goes on to explain a typical day in her busy life, which unsurprisingly includes two-hour workouts and very surprisingly includes a daily croissant.
· DJ Hannah Bronfman has launched a new app called Beautified that's basically the OpenTable of the beauty world. Available in NYC now and LA, Miami, Dallas and Chicago later this year, the platform will book day-of beauty appointments at high-end salons like John Barret and Warren-Tricomi.
· Allure judges, including Coco Rocha and Lauren Conrad, have ended their search for the second annual Beauty Blogger Awards after make-up artist Cara Brook of Maskcara swept all five challenges. In the Las Vegas area? Cara offers makeovers to feature on her site for free.
· Capitalizing on the current '90s revival, CK One has released two summer nail polishes scented with—you guessed it—CK One. Equipped with extra-wide brushes, the polishes are available in Current green and Riptide blue on Ulta.com.
· Laura Mercier is launching a Summer Nudes Collection this June. The line will include high-shine lip glacés and nail lacquers, in yummy sounding shades like Cocoa Suede and Bare Espresso. And what with all the side-ass-baring going down on the red carpet these days, perhaps it will come in handy for evening out tan lines this summer, too. [Racked Inbox]——Alyssa Carroll
