Buzzfeed Fashion spotted Kate Upton on the back cover of the Victoria's Secret catalog, delivering swift comeuppance for recent comments on the model from the retailer's runway casting director. Recall, Sophia Neophitou, told the New York Times back in February that the show "would never use" Upton because she's "too obvious."
In Victoria's Secret land, the catalog is entirely different than the annual runway show, but using Upton in the catalog for the first time in two years has reignited questions of whether she'll be invited to walk alongside the likes of Karlie Kloss, Lily Aldridge, and Candice Swanepoel. So what would appease the powers-that-be at the VS runway show, if she even wants to?
1. She could slam everything Victoria's Secret is about on an international talk platform like TED.
2. She could wear more onesies.
3. She could be Karlie Kloss.
4. She could delve into racially insensitive festoonery. Really, any offensive outfit will do.
5. She could get some Vogue covers. Like this cover, this cover, or even this cover.
All these aside, it's good to remember that anyone can wear a black bra in a catalog, but it takes a special kind of model to walk with a scooter attached to the crotch.
