Comedy writer Bonnie Datt once bought a chainmail vest "for clubbing"—a purchase she later came to lament, once she realized that chainmail wasn't particularly slimming. Inspired by this, she now spends her spare time asking famous people to dish about purchases which they initially loved—but ended up regretting, for Buyer's Remorse.

Designer Nanette Lepore is known for creating feminine, statement-making women's clothing. She also has a totally gorgeous apartment, which is full of the fine art she collects in her spare time, and that's where her biggest case of Buyer's Remorse comes in...
My buyer's remorse is a painting my husband and I bought with all these sexy nudes—and then I realized it's almost X-rated. And it's enormous. It's in a stairwell in my house, covered with a sheet, because I never wanted my daughter to see it. And it was a lot of money. And I keep begging him to try to get rid of it, because it's always haunting me. Every time I look up, there is that painting. The painting and the sheet.
