Exploring the question that has been weighing on our minds since Monday night, The Cut breaks down just how much black eyeliner was used at the Met Gala. The slideshow ranks 15 beauty looks on a scale from virginal to "jet black gaze," with categories ranging from "Best Dude-Liner" to "Best Angry Cat Eye," and even a separate category for Gwen Stefani's signature winged liner. · Amanda Seyfried's commercial for Givenchy's Irrésistible fragrance debuted online just a week after she was announced as the new face of the brand. The TV spot features Seyfried looking mysterious in all black while sauntering into a Parisian café. Of note: Seyfried's French teacher will be shedding tears of joy when hears the impressive way she pronounces Givenchy. [Stylite]
· Scientists (and Madonna) have long known that hydrogen peroxide bleaches hair, and that buildup of it is can help turn hair grey. What they've just now discovered is that an enzyme called catalase is able to break down peroxide and, when applied topically, can reportedly reverse greying. The treatment is not yet available to the public, but we expect there will be no shortage of women lining up for it when it is. [Allure]
