John Galliano, now well known for his substance driven anti-Semitic rant that caused Dior to fire him in 2011, will join Charlie Rose on his eponymous talk show. The designer's publicist told WWD that she felt hour-long format of just talk without breaks, which has welcomed the likes of Marc Jacobs and Tom Ford in years past, seemed "like a good platform for John to get his story across." That is, you won't have to take it from Vanity Fair anymore.
She also told the trade that Oscar de la Renta facilitated the interview as a friend to both Galliano and Rose. The show will tape tomorrow night. Broadcast date TBD.
