Gone are the days when wedding photographers Photoshop a filter or a soft halo of virginal light on bridal pics. We've officially entered the era of Giant Things Attacking Smaller Wedding Parties (GTASWP). It's a good summer to be getting married. It's an even better summer for wedding photographers with advanced proficient skills in Photoshop.
The picture you see above—that one there with the giant T-Rex terrorizing a bridal party—was masterminded by Louisiana-based photographer Quinn Miller. It was uploaded to Reddit two weeks ago and introduced with the text, "So, things got a little crazy at my friend's wedding..."
Now things are going to get a little crazy at more weddings. Behold the GTASWP Star Wars edition:

It probably goes without saying that Miller wasn't the first to Photoshop a wedding pic to comical ends. He wasn't even the first to note the hilarity potential of dinosaurs. The photographer said he was inspired by another dinosaur bridal party spotted somewhere on Facebook. Like maybe these guys. And those guys could have been inspired by former reigning "Best Wedding Photoshop Ever on the Internet" winners, better known as "Bad Russian Wedding Photoshop." And those guys were either inspired by Slavic folklore or Putin and his crossbow. No one really knows, which is probably for the best.
But regardless, what sets Miller's photo apart from the rest of the Photoshop wedding photography is that it still looks like a professional wedding picture. It's like ol' T-Rex could be a part of the bridal party, if he weren't terrorizing everyone.
If there's a lesson to be learned here for couples looking to creatively inject their personalities into the wedding album, it's this: Be willing. Be yourselves. Be really good at Photoshop. And if you can't do that, be Russian. Like this:
