Nicolas on System

Here's a Nicolas Ghesquière rumor that has nothing to do with his future job(s), but with his past work at Balenciaga: Kering, which owns the design house, is suing its former creative director for "breach of duty of confidentiality," according to French business magazine Challenges.

The designers' interview with System magazine from April, in which he critiqued his former employer for "sucking him dry" and "trying to homogenize things," is apparently to blame.

He also said:

I had a marvelous studio and design team who were close to me, but it started becoming a bureaucracy and gradually became more corporate, until it was no longer even linked to fashion.
Neither reps at Kering nor Balenciaga have been reached for comment.
