Above is the comparative look at Jason Wu lunching with two incredible 40+ moms at different New York eateries. Christy Turlington is at Mr Chow for the fall 2013 on the left and Stephanie Seymour is at La Grenouille for spring 2013 on the right (in the final edit that made it to the glossies Steph stunted alone; It will most likely be the same for the fall ads).
You'll notice the images are pretty similar, but the facial expressions combined with the white high collar in Christy's ad feels more wholesome. Like maybe they're talking about the merits of spinning versus prancersizing. Or maybe sweater sets. Who knows? But whatever it is, it's extremely pleasant. Steph on the other hand is clearly wild and out of control. Jason can't deal. It's like an AC/DC video up in that joint. But before we make any sort of reductive conclusions about an advertisement, see sauce-pot-Christy below.
