Hell hath no fury like a Lilly Pulitzer fan at a warehouse sale. Though we expect this type of behavior on occasions like Black Friday and big designer collabs, a hoard of preppy-print fanatics in Philadelphia has been camping out since last Sunday in anticipation for today's epic annual Lilly Pulitzer warehouse sale at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center 25 miles west of the city in Oaks, Pennsylvania.
The massive Philly sale is the only one in the nation, and accordingly attracts the real Lilly diehards from all over. Our sister site reports that the line was wrapped around the building (which takes up a full block) when they arrived on the scene at 5:00 am. Inside, the scene was organized chaos, as women plundered racks upon racks of pink and green goods. Click through for photos.
Racked Philly reports that most people are adopting the "grab now, sort later" approach.
Flip-flops appear to be the footwear of choice for Lilly fans.
Is this guy a devoted husband? A doting father? Someone's gay best friend? Unclear.
The giant pink bags were so massive that people had to drag them around and stock pile them in a kind of hot pink sandbagging barricade.
Head to Racked Philly for more photos of the pink plundering taking place.
