9 New Ways To Get a Tan

New, 1 comment

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

June is an awkward time of year for our legs. It's hot enough to bare them, and yet, the pale-skinned among us haven't spent enough (spf protected) time in the sun to have any sort of desirable tan hue.

Of course, science can fix that. At-home tanning technology has come a long way since basic lotions: nowadays, there are gels, mousses, and toweletts, oh my! These new tanners do more than just impart color. They exfoliate, firm, moisturize, perfect, and more-or-less make you a better person. So we've rounded up some of the most streak-proof and hight-tech options to make sure you get a tan without having to step a foot into the sun. Check out nine of our favorites after the jump. —Cleo Zancope
