The Cards That Make it Fun To Write Thank-You Notes

New, 3 comments

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Today's pick comes from Racked National editor Kerry Folan.

Red Bartlett Pear Notecard box set of 6, $14 at Foxy & Winston

I'm a big believer in the hand-written thank-you note, and this time of year—between all the generous hosting of dinners and parties and weekends at the beach my friends and family have been doing—I have countless occasions to send them.

In my opinion, a thank-you note should be something the recipient wants to keep forever, so I like to invest a little bit. I don't mind spending a couple dollars per card if I love the design, and this set from beloved Brooklyn boutique Foxy & Winston fits the bill. Unique and pretty but not too cutesy, these pears say "summer is awesome and so are you." Also, "sorry I got drunk and spilled wine on your favorite table cloth." A memorable gesture that's well worth the $3 per card.
