Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Welp, rumors that H&M's long-awaited US e-commerce launch was finally going to happen in June appear to have been false, considering here we are, smack in the middle of July, and we got nothin.

To briefly recap: after multiple delays, the brand announced that e-commerce would probably be ready by "the middle of 2013." Hope was bolstered last February, when an employee in a New York retail store leaked the news that a launch date of June 2013 was announced internally at a recent staff meeting.

At the time, H&M refused to confirm the rumor, telling Racked via e-mail that the company did not yet have a set launch date.

Which, as it turns out, is still pretty much the deal.

So if you are a glutton for punishment, you can go ahead and get your hopes up that a shoppable website will be in place before the brand's upcoming collab with Isabel Marant, which is scheduled to land on November 14. But we're not putting our money on anything.
