Here's an interesting fit: Not Your Daughter's Jeans, which is now known as NYDJ, hired the O.G. supermodel Helena Christensen as its new face. This marks a major departure for the department-store brand, which has never had what Women's Wear Daily calls a "known personality" in its seasonal ads before. It's also the first time NYDJ is advertising on television.
Christensen, who at 44 is right in the NYDJ target age group, looks fantastic in the ads. In recent seasons, we've seen a return of older models in ads for all kinds of brands. Another supermodel from Christensen's generation, Christy Turlington, is turning heads this season as a face of Calvin Klein underwear.
