Espadrille Expert Soludos Now Conquering Under-$55 Sneakers

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Soludos, a Racked-approved espadrille brand, is stepping out from its jute past with rubber-soled sneakers. Called the "Sand Shoe," the lace-ups are billed as a great transitional shoe when its a little too warm out for boots. They come in suede, woven fabrics, and canvas, and each retail for either $45 or $55. Shop them at as well as select retailers like Nordstrom and Anthropologie, and see the collection (along with higher-top "Derby" styles) in full below.
