Prince William Practiced That Car Seat Move Way in Advance

CNN "royal correspondent" Max Foster's charming interview with new father Prince William is up online. In it, the Prince discusses debuting that royal baby and comes off as relatively normal and level-headed, given the gilded fishbowl he resides in. The clip is after the jump; here, our six favorite moments from their chat.

On the first baby photos: "I think I was on such a high anyways, and so was Catherine, about George that we were happy to show him off to whoever wanted to see him. As any new parent knows, you're only too happy to show off your new child and proclaim that he's the best looking or the best everything."

On the spotlight: "It's not somewhere I enjoy being, but I know that in the position I'm in, that's what's required of me to do. It's nice that people want to see George. I'm just glad he wasn't screaming his head off the whole way through."

On securing George and his carseat for the ride home from the hospital: "Believe me, it wasn't my first time. And I know there's been speculation about that. I had to practice, I really did. I was terrified that it was going to fall off or it wasn't going to close properly. So I had actually practiced with that seat, but only once before...Driving your son and wife away from [the] hospital was very important to me. And I don't like fuss so it's much easier to do it yourself."

On George's personality: "He's a bit of a rascal, I'll put it that way. He either reminds me of my brother or myself when I was younger, I'm not sure...He's a little fighter. Wriggles around quite a lot."

On changing diapers: "I did the first nappy. Badge of honor."

On how fatherhood has changed him: "The last few weeks for me have been a very different emotional experience, something I never thought I would feel myself. And I find...it's only been a short period, but a lot of things affect me differently now."
