Upscale rent-a-dress company Rent the Runway has partnered with L'Oreal to expand its "On Campus" program. Now, the company can offer head-to-toe makeovers including the usual dress options, plus beauty and hair color at over 200 colleges nationwide. The takeaway: Everybody gets their Laney Boggs moment.
For the uninitiated, RTR On Campus is a mutually supportive initiative in which Rent the Runway and L'Oreal get a legion of dedicated press on the frontlines, and "ambassadors" enjoy useful relevant job experience in careers popular among Greek life up-and-comers. The official positions include manager, marketing rep, social media rep, PR rep, Greek liaison, event coordinator, and blogger.
Also, RTR and L'Oreal get first dibs on a mass pool of potential interns. Jenny Fleiss, co-founder of RTR, told WWD, "We are offering internship opportunities and recruitment advice for all the women who partake in this program. They will get the chance to apply for summer internships both at Rent the Runway and L'Oréal. There is a résumé building component to the program." Sign up here if that sounds like your bag.
