Though it's always interesting to hear when famous people forgo professional help with their look (i.e. Blake Lively being her own stylist), it's surprising to hear that professional attractive person and occasional actress Diane Kruger is usually her own makeup artist. In an interview with DuJour, she explained, "my experience as a model taught me the right tips and tricks to enhance my features...So I prefer to do my own makeup. Expanding on their classic bluey-red Ruby Woo lipstick, MAC has launched a Retro Matte collection, "inspired by Ruby Woo's formula, but in a rainbow of vivid new colors" that'll hopefully be herpes free. [Refinery29]
While you're picking out shades, you might want to consider a new study that tracked the eye movements of 50 men, and found that "men spent longer fixating on the women wearing red lipstick. They found that they spent 7.3 seconds staring at red lips, 6.7 seconds on those with pink lips, and 2.2 seconds on those who wore no lipstick." [Refinery29]
