Over the weekend in London, Topshop presented its Unique collection to a packed house and VIP'd-out front row that starred Kate Moss, Anna Wintour, Ellie Goulding and Harley Viera Newton. For spring, the brand showed a clear departure from all things tight and body-conscious and a move towards silky, PJ-like looks. The soundtrack for the event was the easy, casual song "California Summer" by Dirty Gold.
Amidst the breezy dresses and flowy suits, models traipsed out in a new sort of crop top—a loose style with a peplum. Given that the peplum frenzy of 2012 was fueled by the top's ability to mask hip and/or waist insecurity, a cropped version seems completely counterintuitive. View the style, plus more of Topshop Unique's runway looks, in the gallery above—and watch the entire runway show here on the retailer's site.
