Attention all job seekers: Effective right this second, Racked National is on the hunt for a full-time features writer. Do have a passion for journalism, a nose for a good story and a drive to break news? Do you have blogging experience? Are you a self-starter who loves to work independently? This is the gig for you.
As the title implies, this position will involve dreaming up, writing and editing in-depth features, deeply-reported articles, trend pieces, interviews, proprietary photo tours and more. You must be a quick writer comfortable with real-time deadlines who can bring enthusiasm and interest to even the most dry (on paper) topics. A deep knowledge of fashion, retail and beauty is a requirement.
The job is full-time with salary commensurate with experience, health benefits and a matched 401(k). Candidates must be based in NYC. To apply, write a paragraph about yourself and a paragraph about why you're right for the gig and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org, subject line "Racked National Features Writer." If you've got a personal blog, Tumblr, or Twitter, include links to those as well. No resumes, please. If we like what we see, we'll follow up quickly.
