Aliza Licht, the hilarious voice behind the original brand Twitter personality DKNY PR Girl, revealed on her personal Instagram that she's writing a book (hat tip to the eagle eyes over at Fashionista). Captioned "May I have your attention please? I have a personal announcement to make...", the 'gram reads "So...guess what? I got a book deal. 75,000 words due April 1st. NBD."
Though so far social has proven a poor way to drive traffic to retailer's e-commerce sites, Licht was central in creating a model for building lifestyle content and making a luxury brand accessible to younger customers. Moreover, her TED Talk was a heartwarming tale of learning from PR failures and turning it into a positive on Twitter. More of that semi-educational, but highly entertaining storytime please.
