Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

It took a total of 15 days for Alexander Wang's "Parental Advisory" top to get knocked off by Forever21. We all knew it was coming, but damn, Forever21. Give Zara a chance.

A couple caveats: Who knows if Wang is actually putting into production the T-shirt version of the "Parental Advisory" sweatshirt, modeled adorably here by niece Aila Wang. Also, the F21's shirt is white lettering on a black background. And it has no sleeves, and the retailer replaces the word "PARENTAL" with "NEW YORK" because Wang has no connection to the city at all. Anyway, it's going for $13.80 as opposed to the authentic top's retail value of $995.
