GQ has partnered with Gap to produce a 37 piece collection drawing on four menswear talents, Aviator Nation, Baldwin, Bespoken, and Ernest Alexander. This morning, their efforts officially went live on Gap.com
Each will dress very dapper—but very different—man types. Type one is the Aviator Nation man who likes color, the appearance of an off-duty surfer, and any unexpected use of corduroy. Type two is the Ernest Alexander man who never quite shook the tie requirement from his prep school dress code. Now he wears them with chambray shirts. Type three, the Baldwin man, would rather be in the mountains, but the city's okay too, he guesses. Meanwhile, the citified Bespoken man has never seen a mountain. Also fair warning, boyfriends: Each collection scores high in borrowed-from-boys potential.
The designers offer nine to 12 items apiece, available now on Gap.com and at "most" Gap locations. Prices range from $30 for rainbow knit beanies and scarves, plus ties, to $348 for a retro suede baseball jacket.
