A new study shows that people who score as more "materialistic" also tend to use shopping to deal with stress. The study by Michigan State University also found that, "this compulsive and impulsive spending is likely to produce even greater stress and lower well-being. Essentially, materialism appears to make bad events even worse." [HuffPo]
