Despite 16 years of getting paid the big bucks at Louis Vuitton, "inside sources" are predicting Marc Jacobs' departure. One anonymous informant cryptically told Reuters that "his contract may not be renewed," while another noted that "nothing has been decided yet." Unspecified sources also said that his upcoming Paris Fashion Week show on October 2 could be his last with the luxury brand.

The article also noted that Nicolas Ghesquière is a front-runner in taking Jacobs' place. The former Balenciaga designer is known to be close to Delphine Arnault, Louis Vuitton's deputy chief executive (plus, he's got bills to pay).
