The fashion industry has really cycled away from painful shoes, hasn't it? Following a solid run of designer sneakers, spring collections are filled with flat, walkable sandals. And just this morning, French designer Isabel Marant—she of the "it" shoe—sent out perhaps the most comfy-looking style of all. It's a designer Birk, plain and simple, dressed up with the addition of silver studs and ankle wraps.
The style is similar to Birkenstock's iconic Gizeh sandal, which retails anywhere from $89.95 to $120 depending on materials. Given that Marant's last it-sandal, the Carol, hit stores with an asking price of more than $1,000, it's safe to say that these Birks won't come cheap.
