This past New York Fashion Week brought with it a wave of adorable babies parading around in clothes that would make all but the coldest of hearts melt. More than ever, it seems, adults want to dress their offspring in tiny designer pieces from adult labels. Now J.Crew can throw its name in the ring with a beefed-up baby line, which debuted this morning.

Designer Jenny Cooper, who primarily masterminds Crewcuts, took on the project after she encountered leftover cashmere from the kid's collection. She drew up some sweater ideas that would compliment the existing $198 cashmere baby blankets because that's what one does with extraneous cashmere scraps. Cooper made miniature cashmere sweaters and then, onesies and hoodies, too. See the most heart-meltingly sweet items below, and shop the collection for between $20 and $178 here.
