35 Wild Looks from the Zimmermann Show In Under 19 Seconds

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Early on, Zimmermann was known for its chic swimwear. Since then, the Aussie-based brand has morphed into a full-scale read-to-wear line. For next spring, its typically feminine aesthetic has a tougher edge. Designer Nicky Zimmermann said of the collection, "[it's] called The Ringmaster and we were inspired by the circus—the romance and theatre and also the slightly darker underbelly of the life of the traveling performer." There were no elephants or jugglers on the runway, though, just a procession of dresses, separates and swim in a color palette of black-and-white, floral and shocking, spacy metallics. Does it read circus to you? Judge away, above.
