The Fall Shoes That Will Help You Kick the Black Boot Habit

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Today's pick comes from Racked NY Associate Editor Nicola Fumo

Miista Ivy Boot, $189 at Article&

Every fall, I somehow introduce yet another pair of black ankle boots to my mostly-black fall wardrobe. This year, I vow to break it up with these dark floral (but floral!) booties by Miista.

The heel is just high enough to elevate my 5'3" stature while still completely reasonable for conquering New York City sidewalks. The hit of print at the feet is unexpected, but not over the top, and will pair well with a myriad of dark hues, should I conquer the black clothing habit, as well.
