Rebecca Minkoff's show is always a bit of a party, and this season it was hosted by Fashion Police's Kelly Osbourne. For those in the rows (among them Zosia Mamet and Nicky Hilton), the musical performance by Janelle Monáe was the highlight and almost distracted from the fashion show. We blame Janelle's incredible moves and her matching backup singers, who were having the best time. As for the clothes, they are very wearable and cute and the show notes mentioned a medley of global cultures. Lots of Minkoff fangirls will be excited to wear them come spring.
Beauty and nails were Freida Kahlo-inspired, or as Minkoff's head makeup artist told WWD, "It really is like what would Frieda Kahlo wear on her nails. She'd hand paint them and Rebecca really wanted to have a skull as a hero design so we're doing two different kinds of skulls. Its very Day of the Dead." While we can't imagine Frieda painting her nails anything, she and the Day of the Dead are both Mexican, so. See them below!
