Chaturanga Dandasana is a key component to many yoga practices, yet the move—a plank to a low push-up—is often performed incorrectly. When yogis with the wrong form do this over and over again, joints like the shoulder and elbow can be strained. Plus, correct chaturangas build major strength in the arms, back and core.
Today, Pure Yoga instructor Kay Kay Clivio shows the correct way to perform this simple-seeming but deceptively-difficult move. Watch and learn, above.
