Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Gisele Bundchen, a supermodel whose hair is so gorgeous that she's the new face of Pantene, does not own a hairbrush. At least, that is what she told one AP reporter for a fluff piece about life in the Bundchen-Brady household. "In my job you have to remember people are brushing my hair every day," she said. (Oh yeah, we know.) "You have to remember the last thing I want [when I'm not working] is a brush in my hair!"

Other revelations include the claim that she hasn't had a soda in 10 years and that she doesn't care that Tom Brady watches football all the time. "I have my little book and I put something in my ears so I don't hear it...He's feeding his soul and that's important to him to watch football."
