The first pop-up shop for the homeless has opened in Cape Town, South Africa. The Street Store's operators decided to take donated clothes and accessories and instead of heaping them into a pile on the sidewalk, they "merchandised" the free items with attractive-looking signage. The less fortunate simply walk through the on-the-street market and browse the wares. Said a Street Store co-founder, "it makes it easy to make donations as it is hosted in a public area, but it also dignifies the receiving process." Go here to create your own Street Store.
