The fashion industry still has a race problem, writes Jason Campbell for Business of Fashion, citing Vogue Italy's "Vogue Black" section on its website—a way of separating out coverage of black people in the industry. "I had a visceral reaction to this discovery," says Campbell. "Do viewers require a different lens to appreciate our sense of style? Is it to say that we're less or more fashionable? Why separate coverage of us at all? Separate but equal, the intrinsic message of 'Vogue Black,' is a historical concept all too familiar to black people, especially in America." [BoF]
